Jemma Nelson and her family, from Hull, will be emigrating to Australia early next year and before leaving they want to give someone the chance to own their home in a raffle.
A family are giving their £225,000 home to one lucky winner for just £3.50.
Jemma Nelson and her family, from Hull, East Yorkshire, will be emigrating to Australia early next year.
But before they leave, they have decided they want to break the traditional property selling mould and give someone the chance to win their home in a raffle instead
Jemma said: “I grew up a few streets away from the house. When Craig and I were dating we would walk down our street all the time dreaming that one day we’d own a home there.
“We’ll be sad to say goodbye, but also thrilled to give someone else the opportunity to make memories there.
“I know how hard it can be to get a foot on the property ladder, especially in the Hull area, so we thought this would be a way to help change someone’s life like ours is going to when we move Down Under. ”
The house is a 3 bedroomed detached property at the end of a cul-de-sac in East Yorkshire and has been valued at £225,000.
The property in in Anlaby Common comes with a garden and a driveway with space for two cars and an electric charging point.
Jemma adds that while the raffle ticket costs slightly higher than a lottery ticket, the odds of winning are much higher.
While the odds are only 1 in 45,057,474 in a Lotto jackpot, they are 1 in 150,000 in this raffle, she says.
To enter the raffle and potentially win the home, visit the Prize Home Hull Facebook page to enter.
The raffle is live until January 1 or until the last ticket is sold, whichever comes sooner.
